Apocalypse Tree Hoodie
I have started this hoodie two month ago and finished within two weeks. However I only blocked it and put in the zipper last weekend. I didn't alter anything from the pattern ,the only thing that missing is the tree pattern on the hoodie cos my hubby said it gives him a creep with the name apocalypse tree. I do think the hoodie looks kinda boring without the tree, that's why I add on the pom-pom. I like the figure -8 cast on the hoodie even it took me three tries and error. The shaping on the waist are perfect and I love the thumb hole on the end of the sleeve (like you have a fingerless gloves !!). The yarn that I used on this hoodie are discontinue Rowan Polar, the yarn are really soft with a bit mohair especially after it wash but is really comfortable on the skin. The hardest part for me is to sewing on the zipper since is my first attempt with zipper.

Off the needle but not done
Lady Eleanor stole is off the needle and block last night. I was thinking not to block it a first, I kinda like the pumpy texture, but it feel really thick without blocking, guess a good bath is needed. The fringe have already been cut, however by reading through the instruction I could imagine it will require lot of patient and time to attach the fringe.
I never have a sour cherries pie since I came back from U.S. 9 years ago. Couple years back, when me and my husband start to date, he was trying to impress me by asking the hotel chef to bake me a surprise cherries pie, well is really surprise..the pie are giants..about 4kg (about 8lb)in weight..I was quite disappointed after I try, is a sweet cherries pie..and it end up in a bin after all. Now and then, everytime when I pass through a cake/pastry shop, I always check out the cherries pie, but they only have the sweet cherries.. which I don't really fancy it. Last week to my luck, I found some frozen sour cherries in one of the store, and immediate I decided to bake my own sour cherries pie..well it turn out pretty good, only a bit sour than usual, but with a bit of ice cream topping will sweeten it little. oh.. thank you so much to my Secret pal, she have send me a lovely copy of Rebecca knitting mag, a cute measurement tape and also some flower seed for my garden.17:25 Permalink | Comments (9) | Email this | Tags: Knitting(ENGLISH)

Finishing..
Just finish my Flower Basket Shawl last night. I have skip two more pattern repeat as I plan, just in case I don't have enough yarn, but turn out I still have half ball of yarn left over..The shawl turn out quite o.k, just a bit smaller than I thought, hopefully after block it will open up to the size that I want. I kind of like the pumpy texture....
