Lady Eleanor stole

I have finished the Lady Eleanor stole two week ago, however things happen when you needed.. my camera broke down..I have to borrow my dad camera for just to take a few shot of the stole.. and to take a picture of such a long stole is quite difficult as well,. Anyway, back to the stole I really enjoy knitting this stole. Is quite confused for the first row but after a few row you can just sing along. I did the stole in only 7 repeat of square, instead of 8 square. I think is wide enough for me. I use only 9 skein of Noro Kureyon on 4.5mm needle and it turn out 74" after block which longer that the pattern call for.
I have so much fun knitting this stole, I'm planning to knit another one soon on lighter yarn to suit the weather here.I still searching for right yarn, any recommendation on self striping silk yarn beside silk garden?

Felt cloche

I come across a cloche hat pattern on craftsters.org about two week ago, I really like the way it fit. I been reading all the post there to find out how much yarn do I need and the pattern stated 300 yarn. So I brought 9 balls of yarn but end up I only use 2 balls.. obviously I miss read some important note, ..yes they use double strands where else I use only single strands on heavy worsted yarn. I have altered the pattern a little on the brim just to make it a bit thicker so it does roll up.

Off the needle but not done

Lady Eleanor stole is off the needle and block last night. I was thinking not to block it a first, I kinda like the pumpy texture, but it feel really thick without blocking, guess a good bath is needed. The fringe have already been cut, however by reading through the instruction I could imagine it will require lot of patient and time to attach the fringe.

I never have a sour cherries pie since I came back from U.S. 9 years ago. Couple years back, when me and my husband start to date, he was trying to impress me by asking the hotel chef to bake me a surprise cherries pie, well is really surprise..the pie are giants..about 4kg (about 8lb)in weight..I was quite disappointed after I try, is a sweet cherries pie..and it end up in a bin after all.
Now and then, everytime when I pass through a cake/pastry shop, I always check out the cherries pie, but they only have the sweet cherries.. which I don't really fancy it. Last week to my luck, I found some frozen sour cherries in one of the store, and immediate I decided to bake my own sour cherries pie..well it turn out pretty good, only a bit sour than usual, but with a bit of ice cream topping will sweeten it little.

Silly idea..

Keep thinking of starting a new project this few day, but I doubt that I could finish it before I go away for the Christmas, so I have to ditch the idea of knitting more jumper for the trip. The only thing on my hand now is a hat, gloves and my half way Lady Elenanor stole, but I just couldn't concentrate on it. I feel like my brain and my hand doesn't work together because no matter how I resist, my hand still feel itch for knitting and look what I end up ..a scrap yarn key cozy, what a silly idea!
