Prettyknit

I have received a fabulous july colorswap package from Carolyne. She have send me some lovely wool for felting since I told her that I would like to explore the craft of felting, I definately would try it this weekend. Beside, she also have send me a beautiful small purse and jewelry that she made by herself, a skein of handspun wool.. I love the color and is perfect for another one skein wonder shrug. she really spoil me!!

Another spoiler of mine is my one skein secret pal, she send a lovely skein of silk yarn, a beads ring and a handphone accessory that she made.

After a few attempt and error finally the knit.1 cropped cardigan is finish. I guess this is the longest project that I even knit. I have alter the pattern a lot cos of the yarn that I use, the width, the armhole , the button hole...it almost drive me crazy. Although it turn out quite o.k but I still not really satify with it, the yarn look a bit thin and doesn't stretch too well for the cardigan, my bust area are too tight, also the rib at the waist is not fitted enough. I might knit one more piece but this time I better keep to the yarn that the pattern call for.

the only thing that I really satify is the button that I have, I made this button from my scrap fabric with cover button that I purchase from www.coverbuttons.com. I have also alter the button hole to vertical hole instead of the horizontal that suggest in the pattern, cos it look filmsy when I did it .

I have finally took some time off to write down the mocha ponchette that I create couple month ago, remember this?

This ponchette is created for the climate in South East Asia which is very hot and humid but when you get indoor, sometime is like enter a giant freezer, especially in restaurant and center air-conditional building. This light and airy ponchette is perfect for the year long summer country and yet warm enough for the air-cond box. The pattern are really simple, a total television knit, you don't have to worry about reading the chart after the second round of pattern. (you will know what I mean after you start knitting!!)

I have intially called it mocha ponchette because of the color I choose, after wirtten down the pattern I have change it to Cotton Lace Ponchette..cos not everyone knit it in brown color !!

I woke up this morning feeling s**t, angry and sad over everything, (I suspect I have suffer with PMS since every month of this time I can't control my emotion, and it get worst everytime) can't concentrate on work, so I get in the car just drove around town without any destination for about two hour.
I get back to my office after lunch and there is a package waiting for me..an unexpected package.. I open the package immediately and I am speechless when I saw what is inside, a bag pattern and 3 skein of Noro Kureyon Yarn colorway 52 !!! Maybe is a destine that 52 is the color that I should choose .The package from my May Project Spectrum Postcard Swap Pal, Angela, she is an angel !!
I can't stop taking picture at the yarn, the colour are brilliant.
